The Center for Marriage and Family Counseling (CMFC) is a private, non-profit organization offering affordable professional counseling services to residents of the Central Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. For CMFC, affordable means allowing many forms of payment including insurance options, self-pay, Medicaid and a generous sliding fee scales based on income.
To provide quality mental health services for individuals, couples, and families of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County regardless of socioeconomic status.
CMFC has been serving Virginians since 1972, and is the oldest service of its kind in the area. All of our staff are licensed in their area or practice, or are under the close supervision of licensed professionals.
Our finances are audited and our business practices are reviewed by the United Way.

Because we are non-profit, all donations are welcome and appreciated. Thanks to the United Way and other donors we are able to be committed to quality services regardless of client income.
Neighborhood Assistance Program Virginia Tax Credits
We are able to offer NAP tax credits for donations exceeding $500 (for an individual) and $616 (for a company). Please contact the CMFC director if you are interested.
